How do I get into the workspace?

Open https://app.familycase.ai and sign in with the password from your setup link (or firm SSO). See Operating workflow.

I landed in the client portal by mistake.

Your account role is likely client. Client accounts only use /portal/. Ask your firm admin for an attorney/staff account if you should be on the firm side.

Where do I create a matter?

Matters in the sidebar, or New matter in the top bar.

How do I invite a client?

Use Invite client (top bar or Clients → Client Portal) after you can open the matter. The client uses https://app.familycase.ai/portal/.

Can I email AI drafts to clients?

Only after you review and approve them. AI output is draft work product until attorney review.

Where is AI Review?

Under InsightsAI Review (and from Document Workflow / Donna approval paths). If you do not see it, ask your firm admin — it may be off for your role or firm.

How do I track time?

Start the floating Timer or use Start timer in the top bar. Review entries under Billing.

Why don’t I see Trust Accounting?

Your role or firm modules may not include Trust Accounting. Ask your firm admin.

Where do firm settings live?

Firm admins use the Admin Console for team, billing plan, modules, and portal settings. Day-to-day matter work stays in the attorney workspace.

A sidebar item disappeared.

Your firm admin can turn modules on or off (billing, trust, discovery, Oliver, and others). Confirm with them.

I didn’t get a notification email.

Check spam, then Settings → profile/notification preferences. If still broken, email support@familycase.ai or your firm admin.

How do I reset my password?

Forgot password? on the login screen.

Who do I contact for product help vs legal questions?
