Firm admin — Day-to-day guide

Routine firm-admin work in Admin Console.

You do not need to live in Admin Console all day. Most matter work happens in the attorney workspace.

Weekly

  1. Team — anyone still pending invite? Anyone who left still active?
  2. Billing & plan — subscription healthy; rate cards still accurate.
  3. Client portal — capabilities still match what you tell clients.
  4. Modules — nothing enabled that the firm is not supervising (especially trust and API/webhooks).
  5. If trust is live: glance at Trust auto-refill / IOLTA reconciliation for alerts.

When onboarding a new attorney

  1. Add user with the correct role.
  2. Wait until they can sign in at app.familycase.ai.
  3. Point them to the Attorney day-to-day guide.
  4. Only then allow client invites on their matters.

When onboarding a new client (firm checklist)

  1. Attorney can open the matter.
  2. Portal capabilities match the engagement (messages, uploads, pay).
  3. Attorney sends the portal invite.
  4. Client lands on /portal/ and can complete password setup.
